Occupation Certificate (OC)
The final sign-off confirming your building is safe and legal to occupy.
Overview
An Occupation Certificate (OC) is issued at the completion of a building project. It confirms that the building has been constructed in accordance with the relevant approval — whether a CDC or a DA/CC — and that it is safe and fit to occupy.
You cannot legally occupy a new building or a newly completed extension without an OC. The OC is only issued once all required critical stage inspections have been completed satisfactorily and any outstanding issues have been resolved.
At Certify Right, we manage the inspection process from start to finish and work with you to ensure any issues are addressed promptly. We make the path to your Occupation Certificate as smooth as possible.
